Both the Scottish Parliament and the UK Parliament are currently considering Bills to legalise assisted dying.
In Scotland, the Assisted Dying Bill was published in March 2024 and at Westminster, the Bill was recently introduced with a debate and first vote expected to take place on November 29.
The Bills, if passed, would change the law across the United Kingdom to allow terminally ill adults to request assistance to end their life.
This is a very serious issue and I want to hear the views of people from across the Scottish Borders.
