A Borders-based brewing company is celebrating after it was stocked in the UK Houses of Parliament.
Tempest Brewing Co met with me in London on Monday after their casks arrived at the Strangers Bar in Westminster.
Tempest originally began brewing in an old Kelso dairy before moving to a larger location in Tweedbank.
They now export all over the world and have been named in RateBeer’s 100 best breweries in the world.
The business runs annual craft beer festivals in the Borders, Springfest and Oktoberfest.
Tempest Brewing is a brilliant Borders success story. I’m delighted to have seen them go from strength-to-strength and employ more people locally in the process.
I look forward to championing Borders beer to my parliamentary colleagues of all parties and the many visitors who visit the UK Houses of Parliament from all over the world.
