John Lamont MP and Rachael Hamilton MSP have launched their annual Christmas card competition this year, with a twist.
This year, people can send in a photo or a drawing for an ‘e-Christmas card’. Both politicians are asking Borderers to send in their interpretations on the theme of Christmas.
All entries must be sent to either [email protected] or [email protected] by 5pm on Monday 30th November, with the judging taking place soon after.
If you decide to take a photo, please make sure your entry has your full name, email address, postcode and where the photo was taken. The photo doesn’t have to be taken in 2020, photographs from years gone by are also permitted, but any people in the photograph must not be identifiable.
For drawings, please email with your full name, email address, postcode and a scanned copy of your drawing.
The winner will be given the opportunity to donate £100 to a Borders’ charity of their choice, and the winning photograph or drawing will be used for the front of the e-Christmas card sent across the Borders.
Both Lamont and Hamilton believe it will be a good opportunity for people to enjoy a winter walk and take in the beautiful Borders scenery.
