I recently had the pleasure of visiting R&K Drysdales near Cockburnspath.
During the visit, I received a tour of the plant and learnt more about their innovative methods which has led them to become one of the UK’s largest Brussel sprout producers.
The Managing Director, Gavin Milne, has done great things at the company. R&K Drysdales is a real Scottish Borders success story.
The firm is one of the largest independent employers in the Borders, employing between 130 to 300 people at any one time. They also have partnerships with several local schools where they help children learn skills for the future.
It is great to see their commitment to supporting the local community by providing great quality jobs and working with schools to help children learn skills for the future.
Despite rising costs for the industry, it is fantastic to see this local business continue to go from strength to strength.
