John Lamont MP welcomed dozens of Selkirk pupils to the House of Commons last week.
A group of 49 students from Selkirk High School went on a school trip to London where they visited numerous tourist sites and attractions.
The 4th, 5th and 6th year students were accompanied by Miss Swan, the Principal Teacher of Humanities.
After the pupils had received a tour of UK Parliament buildings, Scottish Borders MP John Lamont took them to a terrace overlooking the River Thames and to Carriage Gates to see Big Ben.
Scottish Borders MP, John Lamont, said: "It was a pleasure to welcome Selkirk High School pupils to the UK Parliament.
“There is so much history around the House of Commons that it makes for a really informative but fun trip for school students.
“It’s great to have young people from the Scottish Borders visit the Houses of Parliament and I'm always happy to answer all the tough questions they have.
“If you would like to arrange a trip for your school or community group, please get in touch for more information.”
