John Lamont MP recently met with the new owners of the Lyle & Scott factory building to hear their exciting plans to deliver local job opportunities.
The Scottish Borders MP met with the new owners, Preet and Prabhgun Singh Suri, at the former Hawick home of Scottish knitwear brand Lyle & Scott.
They discussed plans for the building’s renovation and proposals to create dozens of local jobs.
John Lamont MP said: “It was fantastic to meet Preet and Prabhgun to hear of their exciting vision to renovate the old Lyle & Scott building.
“It sounds like their positive plans will deliver dozens of local jobs, which is great news for Hawick.
“I look forward to working with them as they progress their ideas.”
The new owner, Preet Singh Suri, said: “It was great to meet with John to discuss our plans to restore the building and bring more jobs to the community.
“We are passionate about delivering what support we can to help enhance the local economy.”
