It is encouraging that so many climate-friendly businesses are choosing to set up operations in the Borders.
I recently visited the IndiNature facility in Jedburgh, an innovative local supplier of construction material.
It's a great example of the new green jobs and businesses that the Borders can attract.
I met with the company founder, Sam Baumber, for a tour of the manufacturing plant and factory.
We discussed ways to encourage more farmers to supply hemp, IndiNature’s plans to expand their business, and the potential to use the Borders College and other education providers to help grow the workforce.
IndiNature produces natural fibre insulations which are made from UK-produced hemp. The product captures carbon and results in zero waste.
It was fascinating to see their innovative work on cleantech and biotech up close.
I'm delighted that such an exciting business is bringing more skilled jobs to the Borders.
