It should be common sense that people are allowed to decide what's best for their own communities.
Borders residents are clear that these proposals go too far. We all understand the need to act to protect the environment, but the views of people who actually live here cannot be overlooked.
This proposal should not go ahead and the SNP government must not intervene against the wishes of the local community.
I previously chaired a public meeting at Leitholm Village Hall attended by over 130 Berwickshire residents to discuss proposals for battery storage systems.
