The UK Government is committed to supporting those who need it most - and that's exactly what we're doing with the latest cost-of-living payment that will land in eligible people's bank accounts soon.
Families across the Borders - approximately 12,200 households in total - will receive £300 directly from the UK Government before Christmas.
This is the second of three payments totalling £900 to support households which currently receive means-tested benefits such as Universal Credit or Pension Credit.
Eligible pensioner households will also receive a further £300 payment this year as an addition to the Winter Fuel Payment.
These payments make up part of the record financial support from the UK Government for the most vulnerable, which is worth an average of £3,300 per household.
